Ebola is one of the five known viruses within the genus ebolavirus an infection capable of coursing death and a fatal disease clearly noticed by fever and sever internal bleeding spread through face to face contact with infected body fluids by filo-virus (Ebola virus)  whose normal host species is unknown. the Ebola virus was discovered in 1976, named after the Ebola river in zaire. the first breakdown of Ebola infected over 284 people with mortality rate of 53%.  The second Ebola virus emerged from yambuku Zaire known as Eboz which had the highest mortality rate of any Ebola viruses (88%) infected 318 people.

  • bleeding from the nose and mouth( the stage is called hemorrhagic syndrome)

  • vomiting and having a running stomach 
The Ebola virus effects the human body  by attacking every organ in the body and tissue besides except for the bones and skeletons. It effects the human body in various ways like coming in contact with the person infected by easily inhaling or touching. But now the question is how would you know that if your in contact with someone who has the virus? especially if the person is still at the early stages of EVD.

In order for people to prevent themselves from getting the Ebola, its necessary to visit the nearest clinics gather more information about Ebola, know the symptoms and participate on the Ebola campaigns  Idris Elba known as British actor created  Ebola public awareness which is an international campaign  and teamed up with football soccer players to raise awareness of the deadly virus.One of the campaign's aim is to help reduce the virus, teach people about EVD and to broadcast the information in different languages including local languages. The campaign has a site that is available for everyone to help raise the donations and help those who are already infected.The campaign uses social media to spread the word around the world about the disease by funding and help those who are in need, donating  and supply protective equipments and share the preventions as well as the guidelines of the Ebola virus.

  2. Interesting blog about Ebola. I want to know wy was Idris Elba was he part of the campaign and not Dr Oz who is a well known public health celeb?

    1. well i personally think idris launched the campaign because his father is from sierra leone the west side of Africa and besides that he wanted to stop the disease from spreading.

  4. thanks @mashudu. The cause of the virus was eating animals such as bats and moneys and the the virus spread when people have physical contact like touching or when the infected bodies is not disposed.
